Amazon Reserve Funds Not Released

Reinstatement does not automatically release your reserve. Sellers routinely get their account back and assume the money follows. It often does not, and the reserve can persist for weeks afterwards.

Reserve vs Held Funds — Not the Same Thing

A reserve is a rolling risk buffer. Held funds are money frozen by enforcement. They are governed differently, they release differently, and appealing the wrong one wastes your window.

Why Your Reserve Survived Reinstatement

Reinstatement resolves the enforcement action. It does not reset Amazon’s risk assessment of your account. A newly reinstated account is, by definition, a higher-risk account.

When It Is Normal and When to Escalate

A reserve that shrinks predictably is working as designed. A reserve that does not move, or grows, after reinstatement is worth looking at.
